Delete a Bot

TL;DR

Deleting is permanent — settings and data are removed.

Consider stopping or editing the bot if you might need it later.

Don’t need a bot anymore? Here’s how to delete it permanently.

Before You Delete

Consider Alternatives

Before deleting, you might want to:

  • Stop the bot — Turn it off without deleting it
  • Remove from servers — Take it off specific servers but keep it
  • Edit the bot — Change it instead of starting over

How to Delete a Bot

Step 1: Go to Your Dashboard

Sign in at app.vibecord.dev and go to your dashboard.

Step 2: Find the Bot

Locate the bot you want to delete in your bot list.

Step 3: Open Bot Settings

Click on the bot, then click Settings or the ⚙️ icon.

Step 4: Scroll to Danger Zone

At the bottom of settings, you’ll find the “Danger Zone” section.

Step 5: Click “Delete Bot”

Click the Delete Bot button.

Step 6: Confirm Deletion

You’ll be asked to type the bot’s name to confirm. This prevents accidental deletions.

Type the exact name and click Delete Forever.

What Happens After Deletion

  1. Immediate removal — The bot goes offline on all servers instantly
  2. Server cleanup — The bot is removed from every server it was on
  3. Data wiped — All settings, logs, and history are deleted
  4. Slot freed — If you have a bot limit, you can now create a new bot

Removing a Bot from One Server

If you just want to remove the bot from one server (but keep it on others):

In Discord:

  1. Go to your Discord server
  2. Open Server Settings
  3. Go to IntegrationsBots & Apps
  4. Find your bot and click Remove

In VibeCoord:

  1. Go to your bot’s settings
  2. Click Manage Servers
  3. Click the Remove button next to the server

This removes the bot from that server but keeps it running elsewhere.

Recreating a Deleted Bot

If you deleted a bot by mistake and want to create a similar one:

  1. Create a new bot
  2. Use a similar description to what you had before
  3. The new bot will need to be added to servers again

Managing Bot Limits

If you’re deleting a bot to make room for a new one, you might want to consider upgrading your plan instead. Higher plans allow more active bots.
