BUILD_CAPPED

VibeCord caps how many tokens a single generation can use. If a build runs away (the AI keeps writing more and more code, or gets stuck regenerating the same files), we stop it to prevent runaway cost.

This is not a quota error — your monthly generation count isn’t fully used. It’s a single-build ceiling.

1. Simplify the prompt. If you asked for “a moderation bot with 30 commands, an economy, an XP system, three mini-games, and a /weather lookup with API integration” — that’s a lot for one build. Split it.

2. Split into smaller iterations. Build the basics first (“a moderation bot with /warn, /mute, /ban”), generate, deploy. Then iterate (“now add /kick and /timeout”). This is the way VibeCord is designed to be used.

3. Retry with focus. Sometimes the AI rabbit-holes — keeps regenerating one file. Retry with a more specific prompt: “Just regenerate the welcome message — don’t change anything else.”

BUILD_CAPPED can also fire if a model goes haywire on a normal-sized prompt — that’s a model issue, not your fault. If it happens repeatedly on prompts that should be straightforward, drop a screenshot of the chat in Discord or email founder@vibecord.dev and we’ll investigate.
